The 17th Emir of Lafian Bare-Bari was born on the 22nd June of 1956 in Lafia Bare-Bari, Nasarawa State. He graduated with a first degree from the  Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1980 and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1981. He served in the National Youth Service Corps at the Ground Training Group (GTG) of the Nigerian Airforce Base, Kaduna, as a Legal Officer from 1981-82.

Hon. Justice Bage, was appointed a Magistrate, on the 10th of August 1982. He rose through the judicial hierarchy to became a Chief Magistrate in 1988, Deputy Chief Registrar in 1990, Substantive Chief Registrar, High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in 1991.

Hon. Justice Bage, attended the 9th advance course in practice and procedure in 1989, at  the Nigeria Institute of advance legal studies Lagos.

HRH. Hon. Justice Bage became a judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (F.C.T) on the 9th of November 1992 and then Chairman of the Robbery and Fire Arms Tribunal for the F.C.T in 1993, Chairman of the miscellaneous offenses Tribunal, Lagos in 1995. In 1999 He was Appointed the Chairman Election Tribunal for Taraba state. Chairman Election Tribunal for Kano State, March 2003; Chairman Election Tribunal for Abia state August 2005, Chairman Election Tribunal for Gombe state in 2006 and On the 19th of May 2007, he was appointed the Chairman Election Tribunal for Oyo state.

Hon. Justice Bage was elevated as Justice of the Court of Appeal on the 10th of December 2007. His lordship had served in the following Divisions of the court namely, Enugu, Ibadan, Benin and Lagos. During this period he attended several conferences both locally and internationally

To crown his legal success, Hon. Justice Bage was sworn-in as Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, on the 5th of December, 2016.
