The Department of Biological Sciences is dedicated to advancing our understanding of life, from the molecular and cellular levels to entire ecosystems. We offer a comprehensive curriculum and research opportunities that prepare students for diverse careers in science, healthcare, and education.

The Department was founded in 2012 under the Faculty of Sciences and offers four (4) undergraduate programmes; B.Sc Biology, B.Sc. Botany, B.Sc. Biotechnology and B.Sc. Microbiology. Additionally postgraduate programes in PGD, M.Sc. and Ph.D Biological Sciences is undertaken in the Department. It has dedicated and hardworking staff
across different fields of Biological Sciences with equipped laboratories and Botanic Garden
