Mal. Sanusi Nassarawa Abdullahi (CLN, FNLA)

The university librarian Malam Sanusi Nassarawa Abdullahi CLN, FNLA, was born on 2nd January, 1954 in Nassarawa village of Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State. He attended Hagagawa Primary School, Bichi, Techers College Bichi, Advanced Teachers College Zaria and later Bayero University Kano. A holder of grade ll Teachers Certificate N.C.E C.I.S.I B.A (LS), Certificate in Information Science and MLS in Library and Information Science. He started his career as an NCE teacher during his national youth service, served in various capacities in the Kano State Ministry of Education, state Library Board, and subsequently joined the National Library of Nigeria as one of its Professional Directors. He was an Executive Director of Kano State Library Board, Acting National Librarian National Library of Nigeria. A fellow of several Professional bodies, including the Nigeria Library Association. Malam Sanusi served in various States/Federal Government Committees at various times. He was a member of both Technical and Implementation Committee of the establishment of the Northwest University, Kano. Currently he is undergoing his Doctorate programme at the Department of Library and Information Science of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. A widely travelled librarian, attended several local, National and International Conferences and Seminars. He has numerous publications in reputable journals to his credit.
