University Library

The University Library came into being along with the University in January, 2013. It is housed on the six (6th) floor at the temporary site of the University. The University Library under the leadership of the Librarian Malam Sanusi Nassarawa Abdullahi (CLN, FNLA) was able to raised the collection of five thousand nine hundred and fifty eight (5,958) volumes of books and five hundred and twenty four (524) volumes of journal publication within the first nine months of its inception.

Presently the University Library house the following information resources:-

Donation is one of the sources of books collection, the University Library so far has received a number of donations from individuals and institution among which include Sa'adatu Rimi College of Education Kumbotso, Mal.Sanusi A. Nassarawa(The Librarian), the V.C. Prof. Dato'Dr. Muhd Razali Agus to mention few.

The University Library provides timely information services to users. It opens from 8am to 5pm every-day with exception of Fridays, it closes by 1:00pm. Information resources are organized and made available with open access and closed access to some reserved collection. The following services are currently available in the Library:-

The reference services provide answers to quick reference inquiries from the reference desk. It also compiled literature searches on request. It collects users profiles particularly academic staff and inform them on the new arrivals. The reference desk have correspondence e-mail address that reads:- referencedesknwu@yahoo.com

The E-Library collection holds two hundred and sixty (262) CDs and DVDs. It has internet connectivity that allowed access to online resources via the following data bases.

The Administration department of the Library maintains the staff records, and serves as a channel of communication between the Library management and the University Administration

There are twenty one (21) staff working in the Library. They comprised of eleven (11) professionals Librarians and ten (10) Para professional and supporting staff. The University Library organogram clearly displayed the various functioning units and the direction of Library management.
